Waxi celebrates and leaves a small gift in your collection.
She sleeps while you focus.
Start a session and Waxi drifts off. Pick up your phone and you wake her. The name is the mechanic — sleep is her reward for your attention.

Most focus timers reward you for finishing. Don't Wake Waxi flips it around: Waxi sleeps while you focus, and a quiet phone is what keeps her that way.

Waxi waits, wide awake, for the session to begin.

She dozes off, then settles into deep sleep as the session runs. Your job is to leave the phone alone.

Pick up your phone and she wakes with a start. A bump of the table won't do it — a real pick-up does.
Your phone's motion sensor spots the pick-up. It is the one sensor iOS lets an app use without asking for any permission — and it only decides whether the phone moved. Nothing about your movement is saved or sent anywhere.
Every session ends with a keepsake from Waxi — or, if you cut one short, a mishap. Both land in your collection.
Waxi celebrates and leaves a small gift in your collection.
A mishap instead: Waxi burns the cake. It's never a scolding — you didn't fail, the cake did.
Streaks, milestones and a statistics view keep track of the whole collection.
A proper Pomodoro timer underneath — with Waxi on top.
She reacts to your session: waiting, dozing off, deep asleep, startled awake, content during a break, and celebrating a finished round.
The full Pomodoro sequence with pause, resume, skip and reset. Set your own durations and number of rounds. If the app is closed or restarted mid-session, the timer picks up where it should be.
See the running session on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island without touching your phone.
Gifts for finished sessions, mishaps for abandoned ones, streaks, milestones and a collection view with statistics.
A history of your sessions with a chart, so one bad day doesn't hide the pattern.
Ambient sound while you work. Prefer your own? Pick Apple Music instead — that part runs through Apple's MusicKit and is covered by Apple's own privacy terms.
Reminders when a session or break changes while the app is in the background.
The whole app is available in both languages.
An optional extra to notice when you look away from your work, using the front camera. Entirely on your device, nothing is saved as an image, and it stays off unless you switch it on. Not built yet.
The app has no sign-up and does not talk to any server of ours.
No analytics, no advertising, no third-party libraries that watch you.
Your sessions and collection stay on your iPhone or iPad and are removed when you delete the app.

Waxi wakes up with a start. Your phone's motion sensor notices the pick-up; a bump of the table is not enough.
Detecting the pick-up needs none — iOS doesn't require a permission for the motion sensor. Notifications and Apple Music are optional and ask only if you use them. The planned glance check would use the front camera, but it is optional, off by default, and not built yet.
No. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server of ours involved. Your sessions and collection stay on your device.
Yes. Besides the built-in soundscapes you can choose Apple Music. That part is handled by Apple's MusicKit, under Apple's own privacy terms.
Pricing hasn't been announced yet. We'll say so here and by email when it launches.
